Online Auto Trader Secures Modern Rockingham Warehouse

Online auto trader Carbox has secured a modern office/warehouse at Rockingham in Perth’s south-west which was marketed by Ray White Commercial Burswood.

Carbox has leased 34 Tesla Road, Rockingham, in a deal negotiated by Ray White Commercial Burswood’s Sales and Leasing Associate David Lightfoot.

David Lightfoot said Carbox has taken up a 1 +1 + 5 year tenancy for a modern office warehouse unit with a total land area of 3,083sqm.

“ The 1,205 sqm warehouse has four 8 metre wide, 5.5 metres high electric roller doors and a truss height of 7 metres,” he said.

“The warehouse is strategically located, surrounded by large, well known car dealerships such as Challenger Ford, Rockingham Holden, Mitsubishi, Hyundai and Suzuki and opposite Bunnings hardware store.”

Carbox, which started in Morley in 2001, has secured the Rockingham tenancy to add to its growing business for a net rental of $165,000 per annum.

“Carbox provide a unique online service and unlike many dealing car dealerships, they do not have a retail frontage,” Mr Lightfoot said.

“The majority of the purchasing decision is made online, where the customer can secure and set up an appointment to view the vehicle. This acquisition represents an exciting expansion initiative and with their online business model sculpting the buying experience for today’s consumer.”
