A freehold quarry with a licence to extract WA’s famous golden limestone has been offered for sale via Ray White Commercial (WA).
The 54.18ha site at 259 Wattle Avenue West, about 40km north of the Perth CBD, is close to major transport routes including the Mitchell Freeway.
Nearby local landmarks include Barbagallo Raceway and Wanneroo Golf Club. Joondalup city centre is about 15km south.
Ray White Commercial (WA)’s Brett Wilkins and Russ Parham are marketing the property in an expressions of interest campaign closing on November 22, 2017.
According to a consultants’ report available for review, the quarry has an estimated resource in the millions of tonnes and is not currently operating but has a five-year extractive industry licence granted by the City of Wanneroo.
The licence expires in January 2019 and allows the excavation of the site’s Tamala limestone deposit as well as sand.
“The property is zoned Rural under the Metropolitan Region Scheme and Rural Resource under the City of Wanneroo District Planning Scheme, which aims to protect land in the area from incompatible uses,” Mr Wilkins says.
Expressions of interest close on Wednesday November 22, 2017, at 5pm (WA time).
