Mount Hawthorn development site sells for $2.65M

A PREMIUM development site has been bought by a local developer for $2.65M in Perth’s suburb of Mount Hawthorn at 77-83 Scarborough Beach Road.

The sites were spread over two titles and included a total land holding of 1,798sq m* that had been cleared and prepared for development.

The asset was marketed and sold by Ray White Commercial (WA) Property Advisor Brett Wilkins and Sales and Leasing Agent Tom Jones.

Mr Wilkins said vendor Yolk Property was a well-known local developer and the property had a current development application with a mixed-use plan.

“It was an active campaign throughout with the eventual buyer, a local developer, planning on delivering a mixed-use commercial development,” Mr Wilkins said.

“The location alone was a major drawcard as Mount Hawthorn is an ever-popular and continually growing suburb of Perth.”

Mr Jones said being between Mount Lawley, Leederville and Menora, the land parcel was a hot locality for a new development.

“The site’s only 5km* from the Perth CBD and just a short walk to the Mount Hawthorn boutique retail stop, including the Mezz,” Mr Jones said.

“Public transport is ideally available with buses traveling up and down Scarborough Beach Road and Loftus Street regularly.”
