Landmark Northbridge restaurant freehold sells for $1.85M

A PRIME freehold restaurant has sold to a local investor via an expressions of interest campaign for $1.85 million at 158 James Street in Northbridge.

The asset comes with a 275sq m* building size on a 304sq m* land area and has been occupied by Sorrento Restaurant since 1982.

The property was marketed and sold by Ray White Commercial (WA) Senior Property Advisor Brett Wilkins and Joint Managing Director Stephen Harrison.

“Sorrento Restaurant is a landmark Italian restaurant that remains an institution both in Northbridge and the Perth dining scene as a whole,” Mr Wilkins said.

“The dining room with its classic arches, vintage Italian ceramics and white tablecloths will transport you to a place that’s long forgotten in Perth, but will remind you of any great trattoria in Italy.”

“The property is in a tightly-held address where properties are rarely available and demand is rapidly improving in the Northbridge Precinct as the economy improves, and activity increases due to the improved connectivity to the CBD” Mr Harrison said.

“Less than a kilometre from the city centre, Northbridge is an alluring blend of hidden bars and nightclubs, satiating restaurants, cafes, boutique shops, museums and much more.”
