City of Canning lists prime development site

THE City of Canning has listed a prime corner development site along one of the busiest commercial corridors in the metro area and within the active and growing District Centre of Bentley at Lot 201 Albany Highway (Corner of John Street).

Expressions of interest are being sought for the substantial 4,264sq m* land parcel that sits along Albany Highway, right beside the Bentley Plaza Shopping Centre.

The asset is being marketed and sold by Ray White Commercial (WA) Sales and Leasing Associate Enrique Reyes and Director Chris Matthews.

Mr Reyes said the site offered flexibility to either purchase or lease the land, or even have tenants lease premises through a design and construct project, as part of the active and growing District Centre of Bentley.

“The City of Canning is keen to activate the Bentley District Centre and would be interested to see a new development on the site to complement the Bentley Plaza Shopping Centre,” he said.

Mr Matthews said that it was a rare opportunity to secure a large parcel along Albany Highway and there’s good demand for land with this type of street exposure.

“The proposed Lot 201 will be an L-shaped configuration having a 40 metre* frontage to Albany Highway and 96 metre* frontage to John Street,” he said.

“Developers in particular will be looking at this asset, as well as showroom/bulky goods tenants and large restaurant and food operators.”
